Happy birthday to our dimple, smiling nephew, NR! We have so much fun watching you grow, learn, and follow your siblings! Keep those twinkling blue eyes shining. It is so great to watch you and VW grow together. You give me a glimpse of what is ahead of us in the next year. We love your personality and your grown-up words and conversations! You always bring a smile to my face, as I never know what you are going to come up with!
Thanks for being VWs "big" brother! We love you! Happy Birthday, NR!

Can You Believe It?
Happy birthday to our oldest nephew, IM! I know your parents are in full agreement... where did the years go! You cannot be 12 already!! You are growing up to be such an amazing, awesome young man! You are such a great role-model for your younger brother and cousins. Keep living life to its fullest, keep smiling, and keep your parents are their toes (we are learning a lot from all of you) ;-)
Look forward to watching you grow! I'm up for another run anytime...knowing full well that you will soon out run me!

Lazy Saturday Morning
It was the perfect Saturday morning to stay in your jammies as long as you want
And build towers as quickly as you can before your little brother kicks them over in pure delight!

HIS Last Words
It’s such a humbling experience as we celebrate this Easter,
Jesus’ last words of Forgiveness and Assurance.
Jesus’ last words of Forgiveness and Assurance.
How grateful I am to be reminded that Jesus’ last words were not ones of regret or selfishness, but in His suffering His words held such deep meaning and purpose:
“Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.” [forgiveness]
“I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.” [assurance]
In these last words, may I:
- Recognize the seriousness of my sinfulness before God = my deep need for a Savior
- Fear my Savoir- a Holy and Just God, who will hold me accountable for my sin with love and grace
- Truly believe that Jesus IS the Son of God
- Experience God’s grace; be forgiven with the amazing promise of eternal life.
I put my TRUST in you, Lord. Thank you for blessing our family so abundantly for you alone provided the ultimate sacrifice with forgiveness and assurance of so much more to come!

Few Things I Learned this Weekend
First…sometimes it is more fun to try to put the eggs back where the big kids found them…
But then, they don’t always see the eggs hidden low!
And once you learn there is something in the eggs…
Drop everything, the hunt is over and you just enjoy the sweetness inside!

Dyed for You
It was an absolutely beautiful day this past Saturday. So refreshing after so many days of cold to feel the warmth of the sun upon our wintery lives.
There were some serious decorators this year...with concentrated efforts to design the most creative egg.
What a wonderful Easter memory...
The warmth provided the perfect opportunity to renew ourselves in a season of change and be reminded of new life in the joy of coloring Easter eggs.
Due to the warmth of the day, there was no question that this activity should be held outdoors and the whole family involved!
And a very curious little guy...wondering what this process was all about...
Everyone was very proud of their eggs and excited to be a part of the day, even if the kids ended up playing baseball and the parents/grandparents finished the decorating!
What a wonderful Easter memory...
to be reminded that through
God's shed blood on the cross,
we can experience New Life in Him
through his resurrection.
