Easter Hunt

After a wonderful Easter church service in our new Sunday digs, the boys changed their clothes to their more comfy attire and amazingly the Easter bunny was busy in our front lawn.

Colorful eggs were hidden everywhere and the boys were in for the hunting and exploring.

Found them near the big oak...

Hidden in the day lilies soon to boast their spring blooms...

Where else can they be?

Where else should we explore?

They are everywhere! What fun!

Time for the counting and discovery the treasures inside.

We didn't get them all! This Easter bunny sure can hide the eggs in sneaky places.

Time to compare with our brother!

What a fun treasure hunt by the sneaky Easter bunny!
And this is what fun really looks like at our house!

Colored Eggs

It is a cool day but a nice sunny spot in the sun is the perfect place to color us some Easter eggs. Over the years we've quickly learned that outside is best and less is more.

We set up our spot, put our eggs in the cups (yellow and pink take way to long to be bright enough for this crew), talk, giggle, and run around.

At times, it takes great concentration...

In the end, we have shared a memory (another tradition) and have some brightly colored eggs (that also taste yummy).

Easter Ties

At Easter when we think about spring and seasons of change, it is always fun to get some new spring church clothes. This year the boys excitedly asked for ties! It was too cute the excitement they had in such an innocent request.

After a few selections at a couple stores the boys finally picked the ties they would proudly wear.

It was fun to see them so adorable and sharp looking next to their handsome father!

And still be super-heroes and have their personalities shine through. Cuz its really not what's on the outside, but what's inside of these dreaming, adventurous boys that counts!

Let's Go Fly a Kite

And send it soaring.
Up in the atmosphere.
Up where the air is clear.
oh, let's go fly a kite!

We realized this windy spring that we have never flown kites with the boys. And that you can't just hand the string to your excited, curious little ones and expect them to know what to do. With some intense training,non-existent listening due to excitement, we finally figured out how to get our 3-D kite in the air.

The giggles, screams and pure delight were too precious and brought joy to some intense moments...but like most kite flying days...it ended with the kite in the tree.

Until next time...

When you send it flyin' up there

All at once you're lighter than air
You can dance on the breeze
