VW So-So

12/23/13 - VW had a hands on day. He enjoyed chapel, goofed around in centers, did nice work in his workbook, and chattered non-stop all morning. [Thank you for the lotion! IT's one of my favorites!]

12/27/13 - VW was in a silly mood and had fun playing in centers. His journal work was so-so. All is well and he is content.

1/3/14 - VW had one melt down over seating arrangements. Otherwise his day was pretty good day.

1/7/14 - VW was back in all his glory. He enjoyed playing games and playing centers. Our worksheet was challenging. The microscope kept turning off but VW did get to see his fingerprint through it! NO NAP!

1/9/14 - VW had a No Time Out morning and hap time. Though he talked a lot he had a great day!

1/13/14 - No Time Outs! (so far anyway) VW had a great day. Art was messy and fun, plus he keeps telling me he loves me. That tugs at my heart and the feeling is mutual!

1/15/14 - VW had a good day. No issues. No Time Outs. We had a very hard time listening in the afternoon!

1/16/14 - VW talked himself into a Time Out. Otherwise, he had a good day. The story teller came today and he was awesome. {Afternoon teacher: During nap time I had to ask VW several times to calm down and not disrupt his friends and trouble listening again. He would talk back to me!}

1/17/14 - VWs airplane was great "A" Show and Tell. He was a bit hyper, I'm sure due to grandparents visiting. He did have a VW kind of day!

1/20/14 - VW had a great day. He had trouble behaving at lunch, but that was brief. Time out for pushing. One time for pinching.

1/21/14 - VW had a difficult day. He was told by another teacher to sit in Time Out while playing in the gym. He kept saying no and I don't want to. I then told him to sit in Time Out. I was given the same response. No I don't want to. He ended up in Ms. Danielle's room. Oops. He's trying to fill his sticker chart, but is making it difficult to fill the last two spots.

1/22/14 - VW had a typical day. He enjoyed getting his hands painted because "it tickled." He was calmer today. Quieter is another matter.

1/23/14 - VW had an up and down day. He enjoyed our experiment but the concept of dissolve was a hard concept to grasp. He went crazy drawing triangles and diamonds in his journal! VW told me his ear was making sounds. The way he described it made me think of gurgling. Ask him about it please. Mr. Jacob: VW was very disruptive and loud at nap time :( 

1/24/14 - VW had a good day. His football and keyboard were awesome. His partner picture was awesome too! VW had a rough time during nap time staying quiet.

Record Breaking High - 65

Absolutely, breathe-taking, gorgeous January 19th day...outside in long-sleeve Ts and watering our trees! We just enjoyed every moment, every spring-like fresh breathe, every swing of the bat, every swish of the ball thru the hoop, every splash of water. What perfect day and break in the normally long winter!

Papa Knows the Bowling Score

They say it's your birthday! So happy birthday to ya!

 Time to celebrate Papa's birthday and no better way to do that then to

head to the bowling alley!

Even with all the boys, pink was the color of choice!

There is always enough cuddles for Cousin EK.

but VW sure loved cheering on Dad!

After the final strike of the evening, off to eat Mexican and don our mustaches in honor of Papa. What a fun afternoon of celebrating! Happy Birthday, Papa!

It's A Warm-Up

Such a blessing to leave the confines of our home where we have huddled close from the crazy wind and bitter cold to explore the neighborhood. The excitment and joy captured in these pictures says it all...thanks God for a day of sunshine and warmth.
